Newton is an ad-free, offline-first puzzle game published by Darren William Holden.

Gameplay and settings

Your stars, destinations, lives, achievements, Daily Five history, theme ownership, settings, purchase fulfilment records and Travel Journal discoveries are stored locally on your device so the game works offline.

Optional analytics

If you enable gameplay analytics in Settings, Newton creates a random pseudonymous installation identifier and stores gameplay events and coarse technical context locally on your device. This includes session and puzzle outcomes, difficulty, destination, theme usage, app and build version, iOS version, device and screen class, language, locale and locale-derived country or region. The queue is capped at 500 events.

Version 1.0 does not send gameplay analytics to a server. Turning analytics off deletes the local analytics queue. Newton does not collect names, email addresses, advertising identifiers, contacts, photos, precise location, inferred age or gender, or include raw IP addresses in gameplay telemetry.

Daily Adventure artwork

When an internet connection is available, Newton may request the current Daily Adventure illustration from dariam.co.uk and cache it on your device. The request contains the artwork key and normal technical information required to deliver and secure a web request, such as an IP address and browser-style connection information. Dariam does not use this request to create a gameplay profile, derive precise location or serve advertising. If the request fails or you are offline, Newton uses bundled artwork and gameplay continues normally.

Purchases

Newton offers optional in-app purchases through Apple's App Store. Apple processes payment and provides Newton with signed transaction and entitlement information needed to grant supplies, remember permanent theme ownership and prevent duplicate fulfilment. Newton stores transaction identifiers locally for replay protection; it does not receive or store your full payment-card details.

Permanent purchases can be restored from the Shop. Consumable supplies cannot be restored after they have been used.

Notifications

If you opt in, Newton schedules one local device notification for when your lives have refilled. No push-notification server is used.

Accounts, advertising and tracking

Version 1.0 contains no advertising, advertising SDKs, social account login or cross-app tracking. Newton does not request App Tracking Transparency permission.

Children

Newton does not knowingly request personal information from children and does not create behavioural advertising profiles.
